During Beaudoin's tenure, Amazon launched seven fashion labels, in addition to offering other affordable, contemporary and high-end fashion brand. It also recently launched the Amazon Echo Look, which gives a second opinion on an outfit through full-length photos and videos.

Amazon has made its fashion presence well known by sponsoring the Met Gala in 2012 and sponsoring CFDA’s NYFW: Men’s fashion week alongside Cadillac and Samsung. The deal with the CFDA ended after NYFW: Men's in February 2017. In addition, the online retailer announced plans to launch private-label intimates and an athleisure line.

Prior to joining Amazon, Beaudoin worked at Gap and co-founded the Piperlime e-commerce brand. She joined Amazon in 2008 and was named President of Amazon Fashion in 2012. Amazon has not named her successor.

In addition to Beaudoin’s departure, the online retailer announced the appointment of Silvia He as Head of Vendor Management, succeeding Muge Dogan, who has transitioned to Director, Technical Advisor of North America Retail. Dogan joined Amazon in 2007 and He joined the company in 2012

Amazon has been reported by Yahoo to be larger than the 8 largest retailers in the U.S. combined (Macy’s, Best Buy, Target, Nordstrom, JCPenney, Walmart, Kohl’s and Sears), and is poised to surpass Macy’s this year as the biggest apparel retailer in the U.S.
