The fifth winner of the Triumph International Inspiration Award was announced this weekend in Shanghai. The event, which took place on 19 October, saw 31 finalists from around the world battling it out for the title, with the young Brit Sian Whitefoot triumphing.

The student from De Monfort University in Leicester, who designs lingerie, wowed the panel of judges which included designers Uma Wang and Matthew Williamson, as well as editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia Franca Sozzani.

Her creation "Ecliptic Renewal", inspired by this year’s theme of “Dragons and Butterflies”, saw the young designer leave with the prize money of 15,000 euros as well as having her design manufactured. Also on the podium were Italy’s Alla Polozenka and Hungary’s Luca Beke.
