Brooks Brothers has opened its first café, the 'Red Fleece Café', in New York. The historic US label has announced in a press release it has introduced a café area within the Brooks Brothers Red Fleece store at 901 Broadway and 20th St., in Manhattan's Flatiron district.

The Red Fleece Café - Brooks Brothers

The Golden Fleece is featured on Brooks Brothers' logo, and the label chose the store which showcases its younger, more affordable line, labelled Red Fleece, to host its first café.

The Red Fleece collection was launched in 2014, and designed "with young entrepreneurs in mind." It features a complete range of casual and ready-to-wear apparel and accessories, both men's and women's, with a style that is both relaxed and contemporary.

The new café will serve coffees from premium chain Stumptown Coffee Roasters, as well as cakes from the Balthazar Bakery and teas by Kusmi Tea, and is expected to allow Brooks Brothers to "forge a closer relationship with its customers, by offering them a new experience."

Brooks Brothers was founded in 1818, and in 2001 it was acquired from Marks & Spencer by Italian businessman Claudio Del Vecchio, who is still the CEO. The label currently operates more than 600 stores worldwide, and is distinctive for its classic, upmarket family fashion.
