Burberry poaches Calvin Klein’s Rod Manley for CMO role

Burberry has announced that Rod Manley will be joining its ranks as new chief marketing officer on 7 January 2019.

In his new role, he will lead the luxury brand’s marketing, communications and creative media teams from London, and report to CEO Marco Gobbetti.

Manley joins Burberry from US fashion house Calvin Klein, where he has spent the last three years as executive vice president of influence marketing and communications.

His career also includes senior positions at luxury label Giorgio Armani and creative services and media relations firm KCD, whose clients have included Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton.

Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti commented: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Rod Manley as chief marketing officer. Rod’s experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the Burberry brand and position the business for growth.”
