Canali taps Secoo for China e-commerce

Italy's Canali on Friday launched an online store on Chinese luxury platform Secoo, offering the luxury brand's varied range of menswear including suits, fashion and accessories.

Known for its upscale brand folio, Secoo is Asia's largest premium lifestyle platform, targeting wealthy Chinese consumers. With a host of international brands as clients, Secoo's partnership with Canali looks to enhance the Italian's coverage in the burgeoning Chinese e-commerce market.

With the partnership, Secoo said that Canali will synchronise its complete fall/winter 2018 collection in regards to its online platform and physical stores.  It operates nine offline experience centres in popular shopping destinations and central business districts in China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Canali looks to drive traffic to the platform, given its growing popularity China. In 2017, Canali was the second best-selling brand in SKP, Beijing's largest offline luxury shopping mall. 

"Choosing Secoo as an online partner will provide consumers with more opportunities to enjoy exclusive Made in Italy pieces and improve our overall customer experience," said the luxury retailer Secoo in a statement.

Founded in 1934, Canali designs and manufacturers all items inside its own production centres and boasts more than 1,600 employees worldwide. In addition to its 180 boutiques, the brand can also be found in over 1,000 retail stores in more than 100 countries across the globe.
