She has held a number of roles and most recently was its Chief Administrative and Financial Officer, which means she was already in a leadership role at the key trade group.

This leadership is now being expanded with her new job being to develop the group’s strategy and make decisions that "further the CFDA’s purpose to champion, educate, and support its membership and the fashion industry-at-large”.

She’ll report to CFDA CEO Steven Kolb and the board of directors. Kolb described her as “an innovative thinker with a strong understanding of organizational and business operations”.

He added that she’s “the right person with the right ideas to help lead CFDA into the future”.

Diggs herself said: “CFDA remains a vital pillar of the fashion community. I am delighted to join [CFDA Chairman] Tom Ford and Steven Kolb as we continue to advance and evolve the CFDA into a modern, forward thinking organization that is reflective of our times.”
