Cheap Monday flirts with electronics

Cheap Monday has diversified its range in an unexpected way. The Swedish skinny jeans brand is now presenting its first micro-synthesizers, having partnered with the company Teenage Engineering on a range of collection of three products dubbed "Pocket Operator", positioned at 59 euros.

"As a pioneer brand for affordable skinny, stretch and unisex jeans, we are very pleased to launch a new avant-garde product while remaining in our habitual price range. Cheap Monday has, since the start, had an ambition to expand into new fields of business. We felt an instant match with Teenage Engineering, and when we began to discuss the Pocket Operator, we realized that it was time to kick things into a higher gear. We’re convinced of the potential of this new product category and are excited about the future opportunities that it will bring," said Håkan Ström, Cheap Monday’s COO.

Cheap Monday has also produced a collection of t-shirts inspired by apparel made for the teams of Teenage Engineering, as well as pins and a case for its new product. The shirts are sold at 25 euros, the pins at 10 Euros, the Pocket Operators at 59 euros and the cases at 39 euros. The items can be bought on Cheap Monday’s website and in a series of stores worldwide.
