CIFF trade show sets venue, dates for first Parisian edition next June
The arrival in Paris of a new international fashion event has been heralded for quite some time, for over a year in fact, and now the organisers of Copenhagen’s CIFF show have revealed the venue of their forthcoming first Parisian edition, in the chic Marais district.

The venue for CIFF’s first Paris show next June will be the Garage Amelot, near central place de la République and boulevard des Filles du Calvaire, at 2 passage Saint-Pierre Amelot. The event was initially slated to last a week, but the organisers have eventually opted for a four-day format, the typical duration of Paris trade fairs, and will be held on June 21-24, partially overlapping with the Parisian shows Tranoï and Man/Woman, whose next session is scheduled on June 20-23.
CIFF opted for a rather industrial-looking site as the event's venue, a former garage whose premises extend over several thousand square metres and has already been used for catwalk shows and pop-up exhibitions. It will be completely regenerated by 2020, becoming a large residential complex.
“Paris has long been the world’s fashion capital, the industry’s preferred gathering place,” said CIFF's director Kristian W. Andersen. “CIFF Paris will add a new dimension to the Garage Amelot for the next Fashion Week, providing a fresh burst of energy to engage the industry and bring it together, pushing the envelope, doing good business and also enabling us to bring to Paris some of Denmark's signature sharing and sustainability culture,” he added.
A few weeks ago, the show organiser told FashionNetwork.com it expected about one hundred exhibitors, showcasing both the Spring/Summer 2020 menswear collections and the women’s pre-collections. The current estimate is for CIFF Paris to host about 60 exhibitors. The event will also present multidisciplinary work by artists and designers, along the lines of CIFF Copenhagen.
