The $33 million acquisition of three buildings from Electro Scientific Industries will add more than 200,000 square feet to its existing presence, the brand said. One building is scheduled for delivery by June 2020, while a June 2021 delivery date is expected for the remaining two.

“Columbia Sportswear Company is happy to acquire more space to innovate, design and collaborate to create high-quality products for active people,” the group said in a press release.

The group, owner of brands Columbia, Sorel, Mountain Hardwear and Prana, distributes its brands across 90 countries worldwide. It reported record-breaking sales for its second quarter of fiscal year 2019, ended June 30, with a net sales increase of 9 percent, to $526.2 million. The company increased its full-year outlook on the back of its strong results to predict full-year net sales of $3.00 to $3.04 billion, representing a net sales growth of 7 to 8.5 percent.
