Crisis charity event is back on Savile Row for festive season

Published
Dec 7, 2022

London’s Savile Row is showing its charitable side again this festive season. The upscale menswear retail area has reintroduced ‘Crisis at the Cop Shop’, a Christmas charity fundraiser hosted at a decommissioned police station.

'Crisis at a Cop Shop' curators Anda Roland and Tom Stubbs

Back on Savile Row until 14 December, the pop-up is hosting a calendar of events and selling new items, old season stock, flawed stock and samples from luxury brands and press, including womenswear, menswear, accessories and gifts. All proceeds are going to Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness in the UK.

Curated by fashion editor Tom Stubbs and Anda Rowland of Savile Row tailors Anderson and Sheppard, this is the third year of the pop-up with the pair hoping to smash 2019's £100,000 achievement and raise £125,000. To ensure the maximum contribution to the cause, staffing of the event is purely voluntary and costs are kept to a minimum across the board.

Meanwhile, donations already confirmed from a large roster of supporters include Globe Trotter, Jimmy Choo, Giles Deacon, Thomas Pink, Edward Sexton, Anderson and Sheppard and YMC.
