Schulte first took on the role in November of 2016, not long after the brand opened its first brick-and-mortar retail location in New York in May of 2016. He continued to lead the brand through major developments, including the launch of its first menswear collection in 2018 and the opening of is first European store in London this year.

Prior to his time with The Row, Schulte served as chief executive officer at Los Angeles-based luxury eyewear brand, Oliver Peoples, since 2006. According to WWD, Schulte’s exit comes as Fabrizio Fabbro enters the role of chief operating officer with The Row, after previously serving as senior vice president, creative operations at Burberry.

First established by the famous Olsen twins in 2006, The Row has grown a reputation as an understated, expertly tailored and markedly chic brand, earning its fair share of critical acclaim: to date, the brand has won the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s CFDA award for Accessories Designer of the Year three times, in 2014, 2018 and 2019, in addition to winning the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2012 and 2015.

The Row opened its first store in Los Angeles in 2014. Currently, the label operates locations in London, Los Angeles, and New York.

The Row did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
