Deborah James capsule for In The Style raises £1m in under a month

When a charity-focused launch hits the right note, it can really see its sales soaring and on Monday, In The Style announced that its link-up with Dame Deborah James has raised over £1 million in less than a month.

The Rebellious Hope T-shirts and associated collection have raised the money in aid of the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK, despite launching only at the end of May. 

The collection was available for a limited time only and comprised 18 products spanning sizes 6-28. The T-shirt, originally launched in white, has now been launched in pink, black and navy colourways due to its popularity.

James has seen a wave of support in the UK after sharing her battle against bowel cancer online. Her announcement earlier this year that the disease had progressed and was at a very late stage saw even further support. 

She was made a Dame during a visit to her home by the Duke of Cambridge and the launch of the In The Style collection underlines the positive impact she’s had on cancer research fundraising.
