Covid has been forgotten and it's now time for festivities! For this years Christmas celebrations, the luxury houses have gone all out to create unforgettable (and Instagrammable) magical atmospheres through the most spectacular installations, especially in department stores. As demonstrated by Harrods, taken by storm by Dior, the Printemps windows, which have been bought to life by Loewe, Dolce & Gabbana's glittering pop-pop in Covent Garden or Louis Vuitton's Lego displays.

The prize for the most extravagant project goes to Christian Dior with The Fabulous World of Dior. The luxury brand has just inaugurated an impressive light installation with a monumental compass on the immense façade of the most prestigious department store in London. As for the windows, they have been transformed into living displays made of gingerbread, caramels and multiple delights, presenting the house's different worlds, such as fashion, beauty, jewelry, perfumes and art of living.

Inside the department store, visitors will be able to discover until December 31 two pop-up stores with decorations inspired by Christmas tales, "where multiple unique creations, specially designed for the event, come to life, as well as an exhibition" and of course, the "Café Dior at Harrods".

Not far from Brompton Road, past Buckingham Palace and the National Gallery, Dolce & Gabbana is offering an equally festive installation until January 15, with a large rectangular multicolored pop-up, featuring the various patterns of Sicilian ceramics, which have always inspired designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

In addition to a selection of the Italian house's products, including ready-to-wear, accessories, sneakers, design objects and a T-shirt made for the occasion, the public will also be able to taste several Italian gastronomic delights. The brand has collaborated with renowned specialists such as the Donnafugata wine house, Sicilian pastry chef Fiasconaro, pasta producer Pastificio Di Martino and chocolate maker Baci Perugina, with whom it has created treats for the occassion.

Louis Vuitton relies on Lego's this Christmas - Louis Vuitton

Back in Paris, it's time for joy and fun. Printemps Haussmann has also just unveiled its playful Christmas windows, featuring a circus theme and celebrating LVMH's Spanish label, Loewe, through a display devoted to an aerial ballet of trapeze dolls.

Children's playfulness is also part of Louis Vuitton's Christmas display, which is made up of a series of incredible installations built from small colored plastic bricks of Lego, through a partnership with the Danish toy giant. A tree dotted with snowflakes stands against a gigantic checkerboard pattern, while kaleidoscopic trunks are stacked into a giant Eiffel Tower.
