Dior introduces Lucibel beauty tech masks into Cheval Blanc spa

Dior is putting traditional creams and serums temporarily aside in its latest collaboration with Lucibel, the French high-tech LED face mask, which it has debuted in its Cheval Blanc spa.

The couture maison and the lighting innovation company claim they have combined their expertise in skincare and technology to create the most powerful mask of its generation, Ove.

The one-of-a-kind Dior Spa opened this fall in LVMH's newest hotel, Cheval Blanc Paris, adjacent to the luxe Samaritaine high-end shopping complex on the banks of the Seine in Paris. Dreamed up by Peter Marino, the same architect who designed the prestigious hotel, the Dior Spa includes a lavish 30-meter modern pool, a fitness area including private coaches, and six treatment rooms with a menu of almost 50 spa therapy options.

The Dior X Lucibel mask uses special LED-based photo-biomodulation techniques where cold red-light technology stimulates and revitalizes cells without risk of burns. Covering the entire face, light intensities are adjusted based on area, which the brand says produces results in 12 minutes. The short session, done twice a week, is equivalent to what would take other similar masks eight and a half to 24 hours, it added.

Upholding Dior's holistic spa approach, the treatment is designed to be "beneficial to both body and mind", citing studies that show red light therapy produces more adenosine triphosphate in the body, boosting memory and promoting clearer, sharper thinking, the brand said.

Dior, alongside Lucibel and Olivier Lapidus, the former artistic director of Lanvin, updated the sci-fi-looking mask, known for its minimalistic, clean aesthetic; adding a gold Dior logo spelled out across the forehead.

The 'magic' rejuvenating mask is available to test now, exclusively at the luxurious spa.
