Brown succeeds Mark Weber, who has led Donna Karan since 2006. Weber will continue to work for LVMH as a consultant.

Caroline Brown is currently president at Carolina Herrera, a post that she will leave by the end of the year. She joined the label owned by the Spanish group Puig in May 2010.

Previously, she has worked at J. Christopher Capital LLC and Akris in the United States. She also served as senior vice president for marketing and communications at Giorgio Armani. With the hiring of Caroline Brown, LVMH aims to revive the brand Donna Karan by strengthening its identity.
