Eileen Fisher and Public School unveil zero-waste collaboration

Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow of Public School, and Eileen Fisher were all in attendance on Wednesday night as their Eileen Fisher x Public School capsule collection of zero-waste apparel was unveiled to the public. 

Stepping out for the first time at Fisher's Making Space store in Brooklyn, the limited-edition capsule includes a concise range of a pant, top, sweater and a hat.

Each piece is made from damaged Eileen Fisher garments in cuts inspired by Public School's luxury streetwear style. Prices range from $125 for the felted hat to $478 for a pair of split-leg, breakaway-style denim pants. 

While Fisher's clean, minimal designs normally appeal to an older demographic, favorite youth-culture brands like Public School are not the first to show interest in the designer's ethical designs and clothing reuse program, Renew – Heron Preston completed a week-long apprenticeship under Fisher earlier this year. 

Osborne and Chow contacted Fisher shortly after visiting her upcycling factory, and their partnership is part of Fisher's effort to pass along her sustainable practices to fellow designers. 

Public School's previous collaborations include Nike and New Era.

The collection is available now exclusively at the Making Space store in Brooklyn, with the hat also available on Public School's online platform.
