Fabletics collaborates with Maddie Ziegler on activewear capsule

Published

Fabletics, the California-based sportswear-focused subscription retailer co-founded by Kate Hudson has teamed up with 16-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler to create her first ever activewear line.

The limited-edition capsule is made up of seven outfits, including leggings, sports bras, tops and shorts, as well as a VIP-exclusive sneaker.

Both Ziegler and Hudson participated in the design process of the collection, which features a bright color palette and is decorated with rainbow details and a butterfly print on select pieces.

“I've been dancing for as long as I can remember, so having activewear that not only looks great but also moves with me is so important to feeling good, both on and off stage,” said Ziegler in a release. “Working with Kate and the Fabletics team on designing these pieces was a dream come true for me.”

Ziegler first came to prominence through her participation in the Lifetime reality show Dance Moms at age 8 and cemented her status as a dance star when she featured in the music video of “Chandelier” by Sia in 2014. She continued to collaborate with the singer until 2016, notably starring in the music videos for “Elastic Heart”, “Cheap Thrills” and “The Greatest”.

“Maddie embodies our values and creatively expresses herself everyday through movement and dance," explained Hudson. "I've had the pleasure of working with her and have watched her grow into an amazing young artist and woman, so we are thrilled to welcome her to the Fabletics' family and kick off this fun collaboration with her."

The Maddie Ziegler <3 Fabletics capsule collection is available now on the Fabletics e-commerce website, as well as in its 27 US retail locations, including the SoHo pop-up opened by the brand in May. Prices start at $24.95.
