Fashionable reading: a Rick Owens tome is coming for Fall

Rick Owens is set to be the subject of a brand new fashion book launching this fall.

The US fashion designer, who heads up an eponymous ready-to-wear empire, will see his distinct work covered in "Rick Owens Photographed by Danielle Levitt," reports WWD. The hardcover will feature 150 photos of the creative's body of work, snapped by the photographer and film director Danielle Levitt.

The move is the latest in a series of milestones for Owens, who first broke into the fashion business with his own label in 1994, and has since gone on to achieve widespread success. His bold ready-to-wear designs, which occasionally border on the abstract, are presented regularly at Paris Fashion Week, and back in June he was crowned Menswear Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America at the 2019 CFDA Awards.

Coincidentally, Owens is also working on a book of his own -- an overview of the work of the New York designer Larry LeGaspi, which will also be released this fall. Both books are set to debut in September, and will be published by Rizzoli New York.
