Winter is coming, and French high-end skiing and lifestyle label Fusalp is expanding its retail network. After inaugurating a new flagship in New York and a concept store in Zurich, Fusalp has opened a concession at Parisian department store Printemps Haussmann, and will soon open a store in Aspen, Colorado.

Fusalp’s newest flagship extends over 240 square metres on Madison Avenue in New York, next door to a Givenchy boutique, and facing Balenciaga’s New York flagship. It was officially inaugurated on November 5. After launching in Manhattan, Fusalp then opened a new, 150-square-metre address in Zurich on November 15.

The brand currently operates just over 50 stores worldwide, and its activity on the US market isn’t yet over this year. The upscale winter sports resort of Aspen in Colorado will have its own Fusalp store from December 15, with a retail area of 177 square metres. On the French domestic market, Fusalp has instead opened a winter pop-up space under the colourful cupola of the Printemps Haussmann department store.

These notable additions to Fusalp’s retail presence came a few months after the Mirabaud investment fund acquired a stake in the skiing label. An operation going hand in hand with an upgrade of Fusalp's store network, now oriented towards larger surfaces.

Fusalp is now specifically targeting retail areas of over 80 square metres, as with its stores in the Alpine resorts of Courchevel 1850 (200 square metres), Val d'Isère (120 square metres) and Gstaad (115 square metres), and in London (108 square metres).

Fusalp has also been busy on the collaborations front. In November, it dropped a limited-edition capsule collection with luxury watches brand Zenith, consisting of various skiing outfits and accessories and of the Defy Classic Fusalp watch in a 400-unit edition, priced from €9,700.

In December, Fusalp has teamed up with luxury label Pucci for another collaboration. Together, the two have designed a snow wear collection blending the Italian label’s codes and Fusalp’s signature 1970s mood, with items where black and white are interwoven with bright colours and geometric, almost psychedelic patterns.

After tapping the worlds of watches and fashion, Fusalp’s next collection will instead be linked with art, and will be unveiled in January.
