GDS joins forces with We Want Shoes for its digital version

Published
Feb 3, 2016

GDS is about to take its first steps on the web. The Düsseldorf footwear and leather goods event adopted a solution unlike that of other shows like Pitti, with its e-Pitti, or Panorama, which launched its online version in mid-January. GDS instead decided to collaborate with We Want Shoes, an online B2B platform for footwear brands and retailers.

GDS

Exhibitors at GDS, scheduled from 10th to 12th February, will enjoy a particularly rewarding offer for the opening of their virtual showrooms. The project is called simply ‘GDS 365’, and is designed to allow the show to live on beyond the three days of activity at the Rhine city's exhibition centre.

The latter will host about 800 footwear and accessories brands. Among the regulars and the new entries there are: Kickers from the Royer group, Kenneth Cole, G-Star, Timberland, etc.,  which will join among others Mephisto, Birkenstock, Art, Skechers, Gabor, Mexicana and Crocs.

GDS will run a few days ahead of Milan's TheMicam, which is set to start on 14th February.
