Global Fashion Group links up with Global Fashion Agenda

Published

Global Fashion Group (GFG), the growth market-focused fashion and lifestyle e-tailer, has entered into a strategic partnership with non-profit Global Fashion Agenda, which works to promote sustainability in the fashion industry.

As the organization’s only strategic partner with operations across Latin America, the CIS, Southeast Asia and Australia, GFG will bring its experience and knowledge of new markets to the relationship, as Global Fashion Agenda seeks to unite different industry actors in support of sustainability efforts.

As part of the link-up, GFG will play an active role in the development of the non-profit’s thought leadership platform and executive-targeted publication, Fashion CEO Agenda.

The partnership also serves as Global Fashion Agenda’s recognition of GFG’s own sustainability initiatives in growth markets, which it carries out in line with its People & Planet Positive agenda.

“GFG is proud to be Global Fashion Agenda’s newest strategic partner together with some of our peers and industry influencers. One of the key ways to create even more impact in executing GFG’s People & Planet Positive agenda is through industry collaboration,” said GFG co-CEO Patrick Schmidt in a release.

“As the leading online fashion & lifestyle destination in growth markets, together with our customers, we are in a very unique position to help drive meaningful change, and this is another step in GFG’s journey,” he added.

“Global Fashion Agenda strives to bring together partners that represent industry perspectives from across the world and from various parts of the supply chain,” explained Global Fashion Agenda CEO Frederica Marchionni. “Global Fashion Group has demonstrated strong commitments to sustainability and, through our partnership, we are pleased to expand our representation in growth markets so that we can work together to create impact at an even greater scale.”

Founded in 2016, Global Fashion Agenda runs the Copenhagen Fashion Summit and is responsible for sustainability-focused industry publications Fashion on Climate and Fashion CEO Agenda. The organization’s list of strategic partners includes Asos, Fung Group, H&M Group, Kering, Nike, PVH Corp and Target, among others.
