Gucci to stage upcoming Cruise show in Rome

The Italian fashion house Gucci will stage its Cruise 2020 fashion show in Rome. The show will be held May 28 at the Capitoline Museums.

After London's Westminster Abbey, the Palatine Gallery at Florence's Pitti Palace and the Alyscamps Roman necropolis in the Southern French city of Arles, the Gucci fashion house has picked another impressive and history-rich location as the setting for its forthcoming Cruise fashion show. The event will be staged in the Capitoline Museums Rome, dating back to the 15th century, WWD reported.

The Italian designer and Gucci creative director, Alessandro Michele, this year picked a place that was "reminiscent of his childhood."

The fashion world will have to wait until May 28 to see how the brand makes use of this exceptional location, as well as to discover the new collection, which once again promises something spectacular.

A host of fashion houses have already revealed the locations of their upcoming Cruise shows. Dior, for example, is heading to Marrakech, Prada and Louis Vuitton will be staging shows in New York, Max Mara will be showing in Berlin, and Chanel will be heading to the brand's favorite haunt, the French capital's Grand Palais.
