Inditex launches first ‘wedding shoe’ collection in Uterqüe

Published
Feb 14, 2011

Inditex attempts to take a part of the nuptial market by launching its first ever ‘wedding shoe’ collection throughout Uterqüe, one of the group’s specialised retailer in accessories, sources informed the Spanish press agency Europa Press.

Inditex, Uterqüe

This strategic new line in wedding shoes is meant to attract new consumers to Uterqüe’s stores in which exisiting clients can already find lines in shoes, bags, jewellery and accessories.

The new collection includes 7 pairs of wedding shoes of which 2 are peep-toe style and 5 lace-ups. The shoes may be personalised to the bride’s liking who can choose among eight materials. The price range varies from 119 to 249 euros (99 - 209 sterling pounds).

This launch for brides and bridesmaids takes place shortly after Uterqüe’s new line for men was launched December last, providing the male clientèle shoes, bags, leather goods, accessories and jewellery.

Uterqüe is the most recent retail chain store pertaining to the Galician group Inditex. The accessories retailer opened its first boutiques in 2008 and has now expanded to a total of 72 sales points in 15 different countries.
