Upscale Italian tailoring brand Kiton is continuing its international expansion with the label setting foot in London with its first standalone there. It’s in the heart of the upscale Mayfair shopping district.

Inspired by the aesthetics of the Kiton offices in Milan and Naples, the new boutique also follows the concept of the spaces opened in Shanghai, Dubai, Milan (and soon to debut in Seoul), decorated with its own fabrics that have been repurposed for furnishings.

As mentioned, it’s right in the heart of Mayfair, at number 14A Clifford Street, and covers a 300 sq m space there, divided across two levels.

The store offers both the brand’s menswear and womenswear, with the company having been pushing the latter to the fore lately via openings and refurbishments.

An example of this was its opening earlier this autumn of a Madison Avenue, NYC, boutique with a 70% womenswear/30% menswear split.

The company has also relocated and expanded its stores in Rome, Milan, and Dubai, and emphasised its women's collections more heavily in these with a subsequent boost to womenswear sales in those locations.

The new London boutique joins the line-up of 60 physical stores in 25 countries for the label “as part of a retail development plan in which the women's collection is assuming an increasingly important role by combining the heritage of men's tailoring and a style made of instant classics”.

Kiton was founded in Naples as a menswear brand in 1968 and added women’s product in 1995.
