L.A.-based brand Pleasures partners with Converse for footwear collab

Published
Nov 20, 2019

Los Angeles-based brand Pleasures has teamed up with Nike-owned footwear brand Converse for a special model of Converse’s Pro Leather footwear.

Pleasures x Converse

Known for its heavy use of graphics, Pleasures brought its style to the collaborative model with a gritty black and white text print design on the Converse Pro Leather high top silhouette. The footwear’s graphic design is protected by an outer transparent layer, while Tyvek is used as the base layer to give the printed text a crinkled look that wears down over time for a broken-in look, the partners said.

“It’s a classic shoe and few have really tapped it creatively, so we’re excited to add the Pleasures design aesthetic to the DNA of Converse, giving our fans their own version of the silhouette, while attracting some new ones along the way,” said Alex James, Pleasures co-founder.

Retailing at $110, the Converse x Pleasures Pro Leather will be available on converse.com and via global retail partners November 21.

The Converse collection marks Pleasures’ latest collaborative project, following the brand’s second collaboration with Guess in August.
