L’Oréal USA hires IT expert Michael Kingston as Chief Information Officer

L’Oréal USA on Wednesday announced the appointment of Michael Kingston as Chief Information Officer of L’Oréal’s Americas Zone. He succeeds Barry Gilmore, who retired from the company at the end of September after 17 years.

Kingston possesses over 20 years of information technology experience and an extensive technical background. He served in the global management-consulting sector and spearheaded digital transformation projects in key markets.
 
Prior to joining the beauty company, Kingston served as Chief Information Officer at Neiman Marcus for 4 years, EVP, Enterprise Transformation and Technology at Ann Taylor for 6 years, VP Applications at Coach for 2 years, and VP, IT Shared Services, North America at LVMH for 8 years. He most recently served as Director, Digital Community at AlixPartners.

As Chief Information Officer, Kingston will report to Frédéric Rozé, President & CEO of L’Oréal USA and EVP of the Americas Zone, and L’Oréal Group Chief Information Officer Etienne Aubourg.
