While Lanvin may have just presented a collection by its new artistic director, Olivier Lapidus, in Paris on Wednesday, the company is also continuing to reorganize its management. In a news statement, the luxury fashion house owned by Taiwanese billionaire Shaw-Lan Wang announced the appointment of Simone Mantura as deputy managing director.

Mantura will lead the entire range of products (men's, women's and accessories), production, marketing services, as well as communications and human resources, said the company.

His position will come into effect on October 1, 2017 and he will report directly to the president. Meanwhile, Michèle Huiban, who was Lanvin's chief executive officer, recently retired from the Board of Directors to return to the position of deputy managing director, which she held between 2011 and 2013. She will be in charge of finances, legal and IT services.

At the end of August, Shaw-Lan Wang called Nicolas Druz to her side, with the mission "to assist in the decision-making process". He worked in particular for the Wang group in Paris, directing the Chinese language newspaper Europe Journal, in the 1990s. Called to the head of Lanvin just after the brand was purchased in 2001 by the Taiwanese billionaire, he remained in the position for just a few months.

Simone Mantura has a strong and varied resume, having worked for brands such as Balenciaga, Helmut Lang Jeans, Calvin Klein Collection, Dirk Bikkembergs and Ruffo. He also directed GIR + A & F, the former production company of Marithé + François, and the sportswear brand Guru.
