After hosting Mosaert, the label run by French music artist Stromae, as well as running a souk-inspired event during the summer, the Parisian department store will light up again in autumn, with a California exhibition to mark the end of summer and inject one last taste of the holidays into the French capital.

The Los Angeles-themed event will take place September 1 to October 21 and will highlight a large assortment of local brands across fashion, beauty, homeware and food that relate to the city.

Streetwear will also be a focus of the new showcase - Le Bon Marché

The event, dubbed 'Los Angeles Rive Gauche', will be made up of three sections, following the course of the sun over the American city. The first location, 'Sunrise', will focus on daybreak and well-being brands (for example, yoga, eco-beauty, home accessories and detox juices. This is followed by 'Sunlight', which will host Californian lifestyle brands linked to surfing, skating and streetwear. The final component, 'Sunset', will explore the party atmosphere of Los Angeles, with particular attention given to the rock and vintage aesthetics in the city.

For the launch, Le Bon Marché has tapped 200 brands including Anine Bing, The Row (the label helmed by Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen), MadeWorn, James Perse and Californian Vintage, which all represent the fashion contingent.

Accessories will include jeweller from Jacquie Aiche and Cast of Stones, while the well-being segment will include Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop brand, which will host its own pop-up to display and sell its beauty line.

Lastly, the different exhibitions will be punctuated with special amenities such as a real skate ramp. Meanwhile, artistic installations by Blaine Halvorson (the designer behind MadeWorn) will take on the likes of a bar named "Hollyland", which will house the ephemeral studio of tattoo artist Dr. Woo, as well as an airship, which pays tribute to 50 years of Led Zeppelin.
