Liam Gallagher to launch clothing line

Published
Mar 25, 2009

Liam Gallagher, lead singer of the English band Oasis, has turned into a fashion designer with the launch of his off-the-peg label ‘Pretty Green’. The label will be exclusively ‘limited edition’ and will consist of trench coats, jackets, jeans, hats and scarves that are “up-front, straight talking, classic”, explained the singer on the website of the upcoming brand.

“Clothes and music are my passion. I'm not here to rip anyone off and I'm not doing it for the money either. I'm doing it cuz [sic] there's a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear" he stressed.

And to listen to and look at the singer, with his habitual long coat and glasses like John Lennon, this collection could well be truly classic. “I’m not into that skinny look- that’s what I’m here for to get rid of- pointy shoes. They come at you like a snooker-cue,” he claimed.

At the moment nothing is available of the Pretty Green website, but it will go live in June online and in selected stores.
