Louis Vuitton unveils all-star cast for pre-fall 2019

Louis Vuitton has pulled some major celebrity strings for its pre-fall lookbook.

The luxury fashion house has debuted a series of images for its new womenswear collection -- launching in May -- and it features some of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood.

From Jennifer Connelly to Ruth Negga, the lookbook features some of the biggest female talent in the entertainment industry. Actresses Lea Seydoux, Michelle Williams, Alicia Vikander, Chloe Grace Moretz, Laura Harrier, Sophie Turner and Thandie Newton are also among the 17 household names who made the cut.

"Nicholas Ghesquière invited a cast of friends who reflect the eclecticism of the female identity to embody #LouisVuitton's new Women's Collection," reads a statement by the brand on Instagram, referring to the house's womenswear creative director.

As for the collection itself, it runs wild with floral and animal prints, combining feminine pieces with oversized checked jackets and sweaters. According to Vogue, each of the stars worked with Ghesquière and his stylist to put together an individual look they felt suited them.

The campaign marks a big moment for Louis Vuitton, which will surely be in the headlines once more this week following the unveiling of its Fall/Winter 2019 menswear collection by creative director Virgil Abloh in Paris on Thursday.
