The appointments follow the announced retirement of Lynne Greene, Group President, who will remain with the company through June 30, 2016.

Demsey has served as Group President of Estée Lauder since July 2006. As Executive Group President, he will add Clinique and the Men’s Skincare Group to his portfolio while he continues to oversee MAC cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London, Le Labo, Tom Ford and eight additional brands. Demsey will also lead the newly created Center of Excellence for Creative.

Jane Hertzmark Hudis was been appointed Global Brand President in July 2009. As Group President, Hudis will add La Mer, Darphin, Origins and Aveda to her portfolio, which currently includes Estée Lauder and Aerin. Demsey and Hudis will both report to President and Chief Executive Officer, Fabrizio Freda.

Demsey joined Estée Lauder in 1991 and held a number of positions within the company including President of MAC Cosmetics in 1998. Hudis also climbed the ranks within the company and most recently served as President of the Company’s Origins brand as well as BeautyBank before being appointed to Group President.
