Milan readies for men's fashion fest

Rome - Top Italian brands including Gucci, Versace and Prada take to the catwalks in Milan from Saturday to show off their collections in one of the world's most prestigious events for men's fashion.

There will be a total of 39 shows of the spring-summer 2012-2013 pret-a-porter collections including also Dolce&Gabbana and Giorgio Armani and organisers are expecting 10,000 visitors from around the world.

Foreign brands that use Milan as their style platform for men's designs will also attend, including Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and John Richmond.

Ermenegildo Zegna, Costume National, Dolce&Gabbana, Jil Sander, Frankie Morello, Burberry and Roberto Cavalli kick off the shows on Saturday.

They will be followed on Sunday by Bottega Veneta, Emporio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vivienne Westwood, Prada and Missoni.

Monday will see John Richmond, Gucci, Etro and Versace take to the catwalks followed Dsquared2 and Giorgio Armani on Tuesday.
