Italian fashion group Miroglio has kicked off a retail upgrade programme involving 8 of its labels (Motivi, Oltre, Elena Mirò, Fiorella Rubino, Caractère, Diana Gallesi, Luisa Viola and Per Te by Krizia). Between renovations and new openings, the programme will touch on 300 stores in 300 days, for a total investment of €15 million.

A Motivi store

Of the stores involved, 174 are located in Italy. By the end of March, there will be work-in-progress in over 100 of them.

Outside of Italy, Miroglio will also work on renovating three of its French stores, including the Elena Mirò shop in Paris, as well as seven Elena Mirò stores in Spain. It will also open a Motivi store in Brasov, Romania, and renovate three Motivi shops in Russia.

"The investment plan for upgrading our store network is part of the broader relaunch strategy for Miroglio Fashion," said Hans Hoegstedt, the group's new CEO. "The fashion marketplace is highly dynamic and is heading increasingly towards massification, so it is essential to fulfil our customers' expectations as closely as possible, both online and offline, and to be able to offer them an increasingly unique, personalised in-store experience, one that is distinctive for each brand," he added.

The Miroglio group was founded in 1947 and is active in the textile and fashion industry in 34 countries, operating 49 companies and three manufacturing plants. Miroglio Fashion is the group's company specialising in apparel, and it creates and distributes 11 womenswear labels worldwide. The group operates over 1,200 monobrand stores and, through the wholesale channel, it works with over 5,000 multibrand retailers.

In 2015 the group's consolidated revenue was €645 million.
