ModaLisboa announces the dates of its 59th edition
Lisbon Fashion Week has scheduled the dates for its next edition. Under the name ModaLisboa Oasis, the Portuguese fashion week will take place from October 6 to 9, 2022 at Lisboa Social Mitra, the social innovation center of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisbon.
Organized with the support of the Lisbon City Council, the 59th edition of the event will focus on the confluence of themes such as art, culture, technology, sustainability and business, with the aim of finding an oasis, that serves as a "refuge during the journey".
“The idea of an oasis is far from romantic. It is a necessary position as we sail on barren waves. But, at the same time, it allows us to dream of the greatness of what seems small, seeing human beings as open systems, greater than the sum of their parts, capable of shaping equality and inclusion beyond utopian understandings," explained the ModaLisboa association in a statement.
Although the names of the participating brands have not yet been revealed, it is expected that the event, as in its last edition held from March 10 to 13 at the Hub Criativo do Beato, will hold fashion shows, presentations, lectures and a variety of initiatives to promote artistic and technological development in the fashion industry.
