Mykita was created in Berlin in 2003 by Philip Haffmans, Daniel Haffmans, Moritz Krüger and Harald Gottschlin. The premium eyewear label, famous for its hand-made eyeglasses, has now opened a flagship store in one of Copenhagen's most renowned shopping areas, on Grønnegade 43.

Nestled among the Danish capital's leading stores, the Mykita shop features bright, oversize display-windows, which contrast with the exterior walls' dark charcoal colour. The contrast theme is repeated in the ceiling's original fixtures, a listed feature, consisting of white glass panels with brass profiles.

The terrace's white floor, the large storefront windows and the mirror panels all contribute to making the store look roomier. Customers can roam easily among the oak counters in the centre of the retail area, surrounded by colourful shelves displaying Mykita eyewear.

Next to the store is the 'Relaxed Vision Center', a special laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art measurement tools "that can generate a personalised optical profile", stated the German brand, "and adapt frame and lenses to each customer's face."

Including the latest in Copenhagen, Mykita operates 15 mono-brand stores worldwide, in cities such as New York, Berlin, Paris, Monterrey, Vienna, Zurich, Cartagena and Tokyo. Its products are available in over 60 countries.
