New tradeshow Splash to launch in Paris

Paris is getting a new resortwear tradeshow this year, Splash Paris, which will launch at Rue Vauvilliers on June 28 - July 1.

Splash Paris is curated by Net-a-Porter's Head of Resortwear buying, Maria Williams, and the tradeshow was created by Alex Lyles and Claire Spencer-Churchill. Lyles and Spencer-Churchill are directors at Claret Showroom in London, a leading European Resortwear Showroom selling to over 450 retailers across Europe and the Middle East.
Williams was chosen as the tradeshow's curator because she has a "vast knowledge of brands and their performance at retail."
"Paris is lacking a premium Resortwear Tradeshow. We aim to put the fun back into buying in a relaxed informal environment. The Venue is small with 30 handpicked brands exhibiting from the space," Spencer-Churchill said.
She added: "Trade shows are getting larger by the season and the ethos of Splash Paris is to bring a beautifully curated small resortwear show to the centre of Paris. The environment will be relaxed and fun, making the show relevant for all buyers who are looking to see the top resortwear brands at one venue."
