Published
Jan 17, 2018

For its eighth edition, the OpenMyMed prize organised by the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode (Mediterranean House of Fashion Professions, MMMM) chose 13 young designers from nine Mediterranean countries at an event on January 15.

The winners in the French category are Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, Nïuku (who is officially entering the Men’s Fashion Week calendar), Barthel, a label from Marseilles founded by a former production manager at Christian Louboutin, and Noliju.

From the other side of the Mediterranean, Amr Saad (Egypt), Lautem (Spain), Tres (Israel), Second St (Lebanon), LRNCE (Morocco),  Zyne (Morocco), Luis Carvalho (Portugal), Anissa Aida (Tunisia), and T.A.G.G. (Turkey) were also selected by a jury of professionals.

The jury included Simon Porte Jacquemus, Christelle Kocher, and Bruno Pavlovsky, who is the Director of Chanel’s fashion activities.

The young designers will be enrolled at MMMM’s Fashion Boster Campus in Marseille, which aims to support them in marketing, communications, and at a commercial level, allowing designers to work on their brand image and international development.
