Panorama Berlin buys Selvedge Run
One could say that the merger process was rather long: after two seasons of cooperation, Panorama Berlin has acquired Selvedge Run, which specialises in denim and vintage products.
The two creative leaders of the events, Jörg Wichmann (CEO of Panorama) and Shane Brandenburg (co-founder and sales director of Selvedge Run), anticipate important collaborations in the future and are currently working together on concepts to benefit the industry.
“Selvedge Run represents authentic brands, products with a strong character and craftsmanship. By this fusion, we see an important step to strengthen our direction and visions for the future and to put international industry topics further in the focus of action. With Selvedge Run being a part of Panorama we get to reach out to new target groups and create connecting synergies,” explained Jörg Wichmann, CEO of Panorama.
According to Brandenburg, as of the winter edition, Selvedge Run will be placed prominently in the lobby at the south entrance. In keeping with the mission statement of the event, brands that stand out for their value, sustainable production techniques and authentic history will be featured. In addition, the trade show portfolio will be expanded to include sportswear and casual themes, as well as related looks, inspirations and trends.
“After seven successful Selvedge Run editions, it’s time for us to reach a new level,” explained Brandenburg. “With the wide range and the logistic power of Panorama we see a good opportunity to unfold the full potential of our exhibitors and their brands and to open it to a wider audience.”
Brandenburg will remain responsible for the content direction. Even following the acquisition, he will remain the face of Selvedge Run.
