In just a few seasons, Xavier Marie has built up a portfolio of French fashion labels. The founder and former CEO of Maisons du Monde has recently finalised another fashion investment, after acquiring majority stakes in Bonton and in the Rautureau group. According to a press release, Xavier Marie has now bought an 80% interest in high-end women's ready-to-wear label Paule Ka, whose previous owner, Change Capital, remains a minority shareholder.

As a result of this ownership change, the label announced the departure of Catherine Vautrin, Paule Ka's CEO since February 2015, stating that the manager "has decided to continue her career in Italy, pursuing other projects." For the time being, no one has been mentioned as a possible successor. The brand's style may also be set to evolve at Paule Ka, as the label has announced the departure of former Lanvin designer Alithia Spuri-Zampetti, Paule Ka's Creative Director for the last two years.

The label claims a revenue of €63 million and is present in 37 countries in 320 retail outlets, 90 of them monobrand stores, and has explained that at the Paris Fashion Week it will present an internally designed capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2018.
