Playtime Tokyo, a successful first edition

Published
Sep 15, 2009

Playtime ended on the 3rd of September, bringing the first edition of the Tokyo three day trade show to a close. The event brought 68 collections from textiles, accessories, toys and decoration together and was seen by the organizers to have been a great success; “we have received 1,246 visitors, a very large number for the first session of a children’s trade show in Tokyo,” they stated. Held in the Ebisu303 space, Playtime welcomed “some foreign buyers, […] but the vast majority of visitors were Japanese.”

For the exhibitors, an international flavor was very much in evidence. According to Playtime, the trade show brought together “more than 10 countries”, which were able to “tackle the Asian market serenely and for the long term.”

The next edition of the trade show is scheduled for the 23rd-25th of February 2010 at Ebisu303 and will host 50-60 stands from 80 exhibiting brands.
