Première Vision Istanbul: the edition appears to be a success from the get-go

Published

From 29 to 31 October, the Istanbul CRN Expo is hosting the first Turkish edition of Première Vision. The international textile trade fair has brought together more than 150 companies and quickly showed just how much local manufacturers were waiting for it.

Launched on the same day as the national holiday, the trade fair started with some long queues of professionals waiting to discover the new edition. Although not many visitors are familiar with the grand Paris edition of Première Vision, there are many who knew the name and who were waiting to form an opinion.

In the end, Première Vision Istanbul is using all the space available in hall 1 of the exhibition centre. And the offering has been well thought-out to be clear: denim, design and threads spaces fill up the quadrilateral hall's different corners, while accessories hold a central place in the fair, largely dominated by manufacturers.

The setting is simple, chosen as much for its available surface as for its ease of access. The CNR is indeed located next to the airport and all the hotel and accommodation offerings this entails. A strategic choice since Première Vision intends to seduce the entire region. Created after the Moscow PV was cancelled, this edition is being held in Istanbul notably for the easiness of the visas permitted by Turkey.

"We have been saying it since the beginning: we want this new event to be a meeting point for the very dynamic Turkish sector, but also for all of the regional textile industries," reminded Philippe Pasquet, CEO of Première Vision SA, for whom the new location presents itself as "the premium hub for the Middle East and Eastern Europe."

51% held by Première Vision Sa, the trade fair can also count on the support of its other shareholder, CNR Holding, which until now held the Texbridge trade fair, now on hold to make room for the new event.

From 4 to 6 November, another textile trade fair organiser will also be giving its inaugural ball: Texworld from Messe Frankfurt, which also chose Istanbul, but this time the city centre near Taksim Square, for its Turkish version.
