Première Vision New York to showcase 116 exhibitors on January 18-19

After staging a come-back physical event last July, Première Vision New York will be held again at Center415 on Fifth Avenue on January 18-19. The show’s organisers indicated that, while things aren’t fully back to normal, foreign buyers will be able to attend again, since the USA has reopened its borders in November. This January’s edition will host 116 exhibitors from 17 countries, as opposed to 64 exhibitors in July 2021.

“The show will not be quite as it was before the Covid crisis, but it will nonetheless feature a significant number of exhibitors,” said Première Vision’s managing director Gilles Lasbordes, speaking to FashionNetwork.com. “Agents will be representing exhibitors in some cases, but almost all companies are planning to attend with their own staff.”

Lasbordes pointed out however that, while the situation is back to normal for European and Turkish exhibitors, Asian exhibitors are still on hold, hence the absence of the usual Korean and Japanese delegations.

PV New York will look towards the Spring/Summer 2023, its exhibitors grouped in a number of sections: Fabrics (textile materials), Leather (hides and skins), Accessories (components, buttons, zips and more) and above all Designs (textile design), always a key section, hosting many British and US design studios. A separate section will host the worlds of manufacturing (sourcing of finished products), yarns (threads and fibres) and knitwear, while the Smart Creation section will showcase the latest design innovations.

Visitors will also be able to browse a number of made-in-New York product solutions through a partnership between Première Vision and the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative, a programme led by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) promoting local manufacturers and pattern makers.

PV New York will precede by a few weeks the organiser's main event, Première Vision Paris, scheduled on February 8-10 at the Villepinte exhibition centre. The Made in France Première Vision show, dedicated to French manufacturers, after two emergency sessions held in September, will instead return to its normal schedule with a session in Paris on March 30-31.
