Private equity firm buys Sk:n, plans expansion

Published
Feb 4, 2019

Sk:n, a UK skincare specialist, has been acquired by private equity firm TriSpan from Graphite Capital for an undisclosed sum.

Sk:n

Based in Birmingham, the business has its own range of skincare formulas and operates 51 clinics offering non-surgical skin and cosmetic treatments.

Sk:n said the investment will enable the brand to expand into more locations across the UK and explore an international expansion. Chief executive officer Darren Grassby and chief financial officer Simon Hope will continue in their roles to drive the next phase of growth for the company.

Grassby said: “[We are] confident that the combination of our highly experienced team with TriSpan’s experience in rollouts, plus its network and its international exposure will enable us to propel the business forward.”

TriSpan European private equity partners Fady Michel Abouchalache and Joseph-Patrick Dib added: “Our latest investment, in Sk:n, is a fantastic opportunity to back a genuine market leader in a growing and fragmented market. We’re excited to support the brand’s strong management team to consolidate its leadership position and drive growth across multiple avenues.”
