On Thursday, a group of railway agents and workers from the health, education, and other sectors on strike against pension reform in France briefly invaded the Paris headquarters of luxury giant LVMH with smoke grenades and whistles.

After an interprofessional general assembly at the Gare de Lyon, more than 400 strikers took the metro to the prestigious 22 Avenue Montaigne, located near the Champs-Elysees, as detailed by an AFP journalist.

"The street is ours," chanted protesters outside the building, many of whom entered the LVMH headquarters before leaving after about 10 minutes. Red smoke bombs flooded the entrance hall for a few minutes.

During the general assembly, Fabien Villedieu of SUD-Rail states, "We have been mobilizing for the past three months. This is the biggest mobilization since 1968. We are going to show (Emmanuel) Macron that it is not he who has the determination, but the workers' group." Last week, SUD-Rail and CGT activists had previously invaded a building in Paris' 2nd arrondissement, which houses the offices of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, for about 20 minutes.
