Puma appoints new CEO for its Sportstyle division

Puma has appointed Lionel Telega, aged 43, as managing director of the company's largest Sportstyle division, effective immediately.

Lionel Telega has been employed at Puma since 2004, where he was until recently global go-to-market director. Before joining the German sports company, the Frenchman worked for Salomon and Porsche.

He is taking over the managing director of Sportstyle position from Maria Valdes, who was appointed product director on the board of directors in January 2023. In his new role, Lionel Telega will report directly to her.

"We are convinced that Lionel's business background and valuable experience will contribute to the development of our Sportstyle division," said Maria Valdes, Puma's director of products. "I wish him all the best in his new role."
