Radley London opens US store in New Jersey

British premium accessories brand Radley London is building on its “incredible success” in the US, having just opened its latest store in New Jersey.

The retail unit, located at one of Simon Outlet's premium locations in the Mills at Jersey Gardens, becomes the brand’s fifth US location since debuting in the country five years ago. Notably, it’s also its fourth opening there in just one year.

The store offers the full category assortment of Radley London’s collection, “adding a robust assortment of gifting and accessories to the stunning line-up of leather handbags and small leather goods”, it said.

Radley said that the opening of “four successful brand stores in the last year has provided confidence for further brick and mortar expansion. Based on this significant market opportunity, the direct-to-consumer initiative is set for sustained growth over the next five years within an all-encompassing omni-channel strategy”. 

It added that expanding in the US market “firmly signifies [our] commitment to growth on a global scale”. 

Having secured listings in key retailers including Macy’s, QVC, Hudson’s Bay, Amazon and Belk, and opened its first four locations in Las Vegas, Orlando, Desert Hills, and Miami, “Radley has firmly hit upon a sweet spot within the US accessories market - bringing heritage, craftsmanship and its signature Scottie dog to a new audience that have instantly connected with the brand”.

Justin Lilja, Vice President of its US business, added: “The initial growth and sales performance within the US has been incredibly promising and, as a business, we can see that we fill a unique gap in the market that has resonated with retailers and customers alike. 

“Our combination of classic British heritage, playful spirit and contemporary styling at an affordable luxury price point delivers something new within a crowded sector. The US is an enormous market that we are excited to be evolving within.
