On Thursday January 26, designer Reece Yeboah unveiled a capsule collection for the COS brand at the Tate Modern - the epicentre of modern art in London - in front of prestigious guests such as Givenchy and Burberry's former creative director, the Italian Riccardo Tisci, and British supermodel Naomi Campbell. Named "Metamorphosis", this chic streetwear collab is inspired by the life cycle of butterflies.

Made up of some forty pieces of men's ready-to-wear and unisex accessories, the sophisticated aesthetic of this collaboration features kaleidoscopic patterns (like the visual and audio landscape of the show), such as dotted lines on tie and dye knits, broad stripes on generous down jackets, and a check pattern on COS reversible coats, jackets and waistcoats.

In line with the collection's name, a beige suit is adorned with a coffee-coloured butterfly print and dark shades and hypnotic black pieces are punctuated by a bright yellow.

To complete the outfit: a pair of sunglasses, beach shoes with notched soles, embroidered "Yeboah" caps and hats flocked with cotton flowers, which is the logo of the collaboration along with the words "helping others", the literal translation of the young Ghanaian designer's family name.

Born in West London, Reece Yeboah graduated from Kensington and Chelsea College with a degree in Fashion Arts and Design. By collaborating with COS, a mid-range label launched in March 2007 by Swedish group H&M, while at the same time launching his own eponymous label, the designer has boldly reclaimed his title as one of the emerging designers on the British scene. His career was put on hold for a while following the closure of his label Saints LDN in January 2022.

The limited edition capsule collection has been available in COS shops worldwide and on the COS e-shop since Wednesday February 1.
