Richemont’s IWC Watches announces Sonam Kapoor as first Indian brand ambassador

IWC Watches has tapped Sonam Kapoor as the new face of the brand, it was revealed on Tuesday via a statement.  
 

 
IWC Watches India announced on Tuesday its choice for first Indian brand ambassador, Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor. The actress is to represent the brand beginning with a campaign for its Da Vinci line collection and an appearance at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie.

"It is an honour and a privilege to become an IWC brand ambassador and represent the brand in India and around the world. I admire IWC for its uniqueness and creative storytelling, which have characterized the brand throughout its history," Sonam said.

The actress, known for her roles in such successful productions as Aisha and Neerja, joins the list of IMC Watches ambassadors including Adriana Lima and Rosamund Pike.

Kapoor posted a behind-the-scenes photo from an IWC Watches photoshoot on Instagram, sporting a piece from the brand’s new Da Vinci line.

The Da Vinci collection includes unisex pieces and debuts at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Switzerland, from the 16th to 20th January this month in Geneva.
