Arran, a luxury Scottish home fragrance and beauty business, has announced the appointment of Mark Pacitti as chairman as it sets its sights on growth.

Arran Sense of Scotland

The company makes bath, body and beauty products from a design centre in the Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland. It has been backed by Endless since March last year, when the private equity firm became majority investor in the business.

The chairman appointment comes after the arrival of William Wellesley as non-executive chairman and Chris McKendrick as CEO following the Endless acquisition.

Pacitti, the incoming chairman, is an expert in guiding investment strategies and will help Arran work on his growth targets. He spent nearly 20 years as a corporate finance partner at Deloitte and most recently was global leader of Deloitte Corporate Finance between 2013 and 2018.

Francesco Santinon, partner at Endless, commented, “We are delighted that Mark has agreed to join the board of Arran. His extensive leadership experience and background in shaping investment strategies for private equity backed businesses will be of great value to Arran as it executes its exciting growth plans.”

CEO Chris McKendrick added: “Mark’s huge experience and impressive skill set will help the Arran management team to deliver our growth strategy whilst providing valuable mentoring as we deliver on our ambitious goals.”

The brand was founded in 1989 by husband and wife duo Janet and Iain Russell. It currently operates from six stores in Scotland and employs over 80 people.
