Sephora, the selective perfumery retailer owned by the LVMH group, has appointed Jenny Cheah as managing director of the South-East Asia, Oceania and South Korea region. Cheah was formerly in charge of China at the jewellery brand Bulgari, also owned by LVMH. At Sephora, she will report to Alia Gogi, president of Sephora Asia.

Jenny Cheah - Sephora

“Jenny is joining Sephora at a truly exciting time, as the prestige beauty market rebounds after Covid-19. With her robust knowledge of the prestige industry and South-East Asia, she will play an instrumental role in our ambition to continuously elevate the Sephora experience to create the most loved beauty community in the world,” said Gogi said in a press release.

Cheah joined LVMH in 1999, and worked for 17 years at DSF Group, the duty-free travel retail specialist. She held various management positions at DSF, and in 2015 she was appointed global managing director of fashion merchandising.

In 2016, she joined the jewellery brand Bulgari as managing director of the South-East Asia and India region. In April 2021, Cheah was appointed president China for Bulgari.

Sephora currently operates 3,000 stores worldwide, and its revenue is estimated at approximately €10 billion.
